New Canaan Board Of Selectmen To Consider Contracts, Purchases During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda
The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to meet on Aug. 4, 2026. Here's what's on the agenda.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to consider a number of items during an upcoming meeting scheduled for Tuesday morning.
According to a meeting agenda available on the town website, the regular hybrid meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
During the meeting, selectmen are scheduled to consider a request from the Department of Public Works and the Water Pollution Control Facility to enter into a contract with Insituform for $131,035, plus a $13,104 contingency, to reline pipe throughout town, according to the agenda.

Selectmen are also scheduled to consider a second request from Public Works and the Water Pollution Control Facility to enter into a separate contract with Insituform for $113,249, plus an $11,325 contingency, to reline pipe on East Hills, according to the agenda.
The board is also scheduled to consider several Information Technology Department contract renewals, including a contract with Lightpath for renewal of three internet circuits, according to the agenda.

Other IT items listed on the agenda include requests to enter into a contract with Vandis for renewal of H3 (autonomous pentesting), N-Able (MDR) and Check Point (email security), a contract with Whalley Computer Associates Inc. for renewal of VMware Cloud Foundation and a contract with SHI for renewal of Omnissa Horizon 8.
Selectmen are also scheduled to consider a Public Works request for a change order with VVV Industries Corp. for a project that entails installing an accessible ramp and stairs at the New Canaan Nature Center, according to the agenda.
The agenda also lists several requests from the Parks Department for various purchases, including a Weedbine attachment, a Permagreen Triumph ride-on spreader sprayer and a Stinger Aerator 3000 ride-on aerator with seedbox.
Other items listed on the agenda include a request from the Director of Assessment and Taxation to enter into the annual 26/27 service contract with QDS and Equality for software, print, support and miscellaneous services, as well as a request from the Finance Department for a blanket purchase order with Tyler Technologies for $57,225.61.
A request to hire William Knauer as an Equipment Operator II in the Highway Department beginning Aug. 10 and approval of town holidays for 2027 are also listed on the agenda.
