New Canaan Board Of Selectmen To Review Purchase Orders, New Promotions At Upcoming Meeting
The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to meet on Feb. 25, 2026; here's what's on the agenda.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to consider a number of purchase orders, lease extensions and more during a special meeting Wednesday.
According to an agenda available on the town website, the meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room in a hybrid format.
Among the items listed on the agenda is a request from the New Canaan Fire Department to approve a fiscal year 2026 purchase order with MES Equipment in an amount not to exceed $440,000.

The board is also scheduled to consider increasing a previously approved purchase order with Gowan & Knight by up to $95,000 per the department's request, according to the agenda.
Board members are also expected to review a lease assignment involving the operation of food concessions at Mead Park and Waveny Pool for 2027, as well as consider several purchases for the Parks Department and public safety-related travel requests, according to the agenda.

Additional items listed on the meeting agenda include promotions and a new hire within the Finance, Building and Assessment and Taxation departments, an appointment to the Health and Human Services Commission and a request from organizers of the town's Juneteenth celebration to allow food and beverage vendors to sell products during the event scheduled for June 19 at Waveny Park.
