New Canaan Budget Director Heading to Darien
Jennifer Charneski will head to Darien in December.

New Canaan budget director Jennifer Charneski is leaving the town for a position in Darien.
Charneski has been a the town’s budget director for five years and will serve as director of finance in Darien, according to the New Canaanite.
Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson announced that Charneski will take over effective Dec. 7 and that she has 13 years of government finance experience, according to the Darienite.

Charneski also served in Hamden as a budget coordinator and acting finance director. She oversaw the authorization of a $36 million construction project for a new police station and renovation of town hall.
