NC Color Run Saturday, April 28
The Second Annual NC Color Run is on Saturday, April 28 at 9am at New Canaan High School, rain or shine. This is a rare opportunity for the whole community to come together as students and adults will run/walk in either the Kids’ Color Dash (.8 mile) or the NC Color Run (5K).
What is a Color Run? It’s a fundraising run/walk where color powdered washable paint is thrown in the air at the start of the race and at seven different color stations (pink, purple, yellow, green, red, blue, and orange) along the route. Runners get covered in color for a rainbow effect. Please also bring cash for bandanas, food or additional donations. Stay after the race and enjoy music with the DJ, bagels donated by Giacomo’s Italian Deli, and bananas/water donated by Walter Stewart’s Market!

Registration packet pickup will be on Wednesday, April 25, April 26, & April 27 from 11:00am to 3:00pm in the NCHS Lobby or at registration the day of the race. Where do my fundraising dollars go? Proceeds from the NC Color Runwill be go towards college scholarships for 2018 New Canaan High School graduates via the New Canaan High School Scholarship Foundation (NCSF). Last year, 54 New Canaan High School students qualified for need-based college scholarships. On average, NCSF was able to provide less than $1,900 in aid for each of these students. Compared to the support of the communities in our neighboring towns, we are far behind. We want to do better for our students!
