New Canaan Community Remembers Kelly Devine
Devine passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after an illness. She was a New Canaan teacher.

NEW CANAAN, CT- Friends, family and students fondly recalled Kelly Devine as a dedicated and kind woman and teacher.
Devine passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after an illness April 7.
New Canaan High math teacher and swim coach David Fine said Fine was an extremely well-respected coach for the Fairfield County Swim League and that she cared about helping others achieve success, according to the New Canaanite.

Former student Gogo Jones wrote in an op-ed that Devine was very funny and had no trouble relating to students, but also didn't let people mess around in class.

Devine was captain of the girls swim team at Norwalk High when she attended and won the Class LL State Championship for the 50 yard freestyle, according to her obituary.
She went on to obtain an education degree from College of William and Mary, a masters degree in education from Fairfield University and a sixth-year certificate from Sacred Heart University.
