New Canaan Country School To Host Fall Admission Events

From New Canaan Country School: NEW CANAAN, CT — Prospective parents and students are invited to visit and explore New Canaan Country School through a series of admission-related events in October and November. On Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 9:00-10:00 a.m., prospective parents will take a look at a typical day in the life of Lower School students (Grades 1 through 4). On Thursday, Oct. 19 and Thursday, Nov. 2, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., prospective parents are invited to do the same in the Early Childhood program, called Beginners, designed for students in Pre-K (ages 3 & 4) and Kindergarten. They will hear from teachers and visit classrooms, the Early Childhood Exploratory Lab and they may stay for a tour of the school’s 75-acre campus.

Prospective families are also invited to two open houses. The first, on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 1-3 p.m., is for parents and prospective students to learn about key elements of the Early Childhood and Lower School programs as described by division heads, teachers, specialists and Country School students and parents. The second, to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from6:30-8 p.m., is for prospective parents and students to meet the Middle School faculty, students and parents, who will discuss the special opportunities associated with the unique configuration of the Middle School which houses just Grades 5 & 6. This will be a hands-on opportunity for students to experience the hallmarks of the school’s unique Middle School program including STEAM and STEM activities and visit the Maker Lab.
