New Canaan Country School Parents' Association Holds 5K Race
Members of the pre-K through Grade 9 school ran independently or in family groups, logging their mileage.
Nearly 300 members of the New Canaan Country School community participated in the annual Cougar Run 5k race, held virtually this year, Sept. 27 and 28. The friend-raising event was sponsored by the school’s Parents’ Association and involved students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents.
Individual participants logged their mileage along with photos and video clips on an online platform shared amongst the school community. This was also the place for non-runners to offer encouragement, support and congratulations.
“The NCCS Parents’ Association is impressed by and grateful for the amazing spirit shown this past weekend during the annual Cougar Run!” said PA President Liz Keogh of New Canaan.
“There was no shortage of Cougar pride as families ran, hiked, biked, and swam the annual 5K,” said Maija Judelson of Darien who, together with Barbara Moody, also of Darien, co-chaired the event.
