New Canaan Fall Family Fun Event Postponed

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Parks and Recreation announced this week the upcoming fall family fun event at Waveny Park has been postponed to a new date.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Parks and Recreation said the event, originally scheduled to take place Friday, has been postponed to Oct. 30.

According to the department, the event was rescheduled due to "forecasted rain and possible thunderstorms" this weekend.

"We're disappointed, but everyone's safety comes first," the department's post reads. "We can't wait to see you all on the 30th for a great night of fall fun."

Activities during the event will include a pumpkin patch, a tractor hayride through the park, a corn maze and a petting zoo, as well as live entertainment and an outdoor showing of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

More information about the event, including how to register, is available here.
