New Canaan Family Grieves Loss of 2-Month-Old Baby to Homicide

The recent arrest of a Stamford daycare provider brought the family a small amount of relief.

NEW CANAAN, CT—The lawyer for the parents of Bella Redondo said that the arrest of daycare provider Nydia Carrillo-Maldonado has brought the family some relief, but it's not enough to end the heartache from losing their 2-month-old baby.

Attorney Mark Sherman said the Redondos and Carrillo-Maldonado didn't have a social relationship and the relationship was between parents and a home daycare provider, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
