New Canaan First Selectman Mallozzi Skipping Candidate Forum
Mallozzi said he doesn't consider challenger Michael Nowacki a legitimate opponent.

First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III will not particulate in a scheduled debate forum in order to not associate with challenger Michael Nowacki.
Mallozzi said he wouldn’t give Nowacki a forum or associate with him by participating in the Oct. 19 debate organized by the New Canaan League of Women Voters, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
Mallozzi said that he didn’t think Nowacki’s rants and ravings deserved a forum and that he often grinds town government to a halt through various means including requests made under the Freedom of Information Act, according to the New Canaanite.

Nowacki is a petitioning candidate not affiliated with a political party. He told the Advertiser he looks forward to the forum and that Mallozzi placed himself in his own “political quicksand.”
