New Canaan trounced Westhill High 55-12, but the opposing team's coach said postponing the game was unfair.

Westhill High School’s head football coach has filed an appeal with the FCIAC after New Canaan decided to postpone Friday’s scheduled football game due to rain
New Canaan High School Atheltic Director Jay Egan told the New Canaanite that he could see no reason why players should play in driving 45-degree rain.
New Canaan trounced Westhill 55-12 on Monday night. Westhill head coach Frank Marcucio said he understood the rules that if athletic directors from both schools couldn’t agree on moving a game that it would be bumped to school principals. He added that he prepared his players to play in the rain.
