New Canaan Forest Street Restaurant Proposed

NEW CANAAN, CT—A restaurant owner is looking into a new restaurant on Forest Street, but is seeking to pay a fee instead of figuring out how to obtain more parking spaces.

The owner is looking to pay a fee instead of finding eight more parking spaces needed if the space is reclassified to a restaurant from its current retail designation, according to the New Canaanite.

The new restaurant would include a sushi bar.

The owner has restaurants in New Jersey and New York. New Canaan would be his first Connecticut location.
