New Canaan High School Fall Musical Scheduled For November
Performances of New Canaan High School's fall musical production, "Freaky Friday," are scheduled for November.
NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan High School has released information about its fall musical production, "Freaky Friday," a new musical based on the novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films.
In a news release, the school noted the productions was a heartfelt, comedic and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic.
When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

The student performers will also share the stage with special guest Principal Egan, making his NCHS Theatre debut. Performances will be in the NCHS Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The school's 950-seat auditorium will be capped at 50 percent capacity, and audience members are required to wear masks. Tickets are $18 (nchsboxoffice@ncps-k12.org).
