New Canaan High School Girls Lax Team Captures State Title
The Rams won in dominating fashion over Ridgefield Saturday morning.
NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan High School Girls Lacrosse team captured the state Class L Championship Saturday morning over Ridgefield 19-7, a dominant performance played at Milford's Jonathan Law High School.
The team, coached by award-winning coach Kristin Woods, finished the season 17-5, and defeated three Fairfield County teams in the playoffs to win the championship, Wilton, Darien and finally Ridgefield, writes the New Canaan Advertiser.
