New Canaan High School Theatre To Present '9 to 5 The Musical​'

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan High School invites members of the community to three performances of "9 to 5 The Musical" taking place at the school next month.

According to a news release, the school will hold three performances beginning June 3 at 7 p.m., with two more shows scheduled for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on June 4.

The show features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, and is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie.

Set in 1979, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, according to the release.

Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers, Doralee, Violet, and Judy, concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss, Franklin Hart.

Come watch as these three women take control and take charge. You’re sure to laugh out loud, tap your toes, and maybe even sing along
