New Canaan Homeowner Faces $10k Blight Fine

The owner of a multi-family home at 74 Forest St. is facing a $10,000 fine for violating the town’s blight ordinance.

A chief building official reported that roof is deteriorating, garbage is piling up inside and the shrubbery and yard are overgrown, according to the New Canaanite.

Blight complaints have been filed for about three-and-a-half years.

The owner is a Greenwich man who did not attend the hearing.
