New Canaan July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide

NEW CANAAN, CT — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue, stock up on sparklers, and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day.

Here is information on the fireworks displays and/or other 4th of July festivities happening in and around New Canaan so you can start planning how you'll celebrate our country's 242nd birthday.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in New Canaan:

38th Annual New Canaan Family Fourth Spectacular Fireworks

Waveny Park (park opens at 5 p.m.)

Wednesday, July 4 (Raindate Thursday, July 5)

Entrance passes will be available as follows:

• Online at www.newcanaan.info (through June 22)
• Recreation Department in Waveny House at 677 South Ave (through July 3) 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Town Clerk in Town Hall at 77 Main Street (through July 3) 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Walter Stewart’s Market at 229 Elm Street (through July 3) Daily during store hours
• New Canaan Toy Store at 94 Park Street (through July 3) Daily during store hours
• Baskin-Robbins at 103 Main Street (through July 4) Daily during store hours
• Waveny Swimming Pool (on July 4 only) 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Passes (cash or check): $35 for New Canaan residents; $65 for non-residents

The fireworks show is funded solely by the sale of entrance passes and donations. Please support.

Parking - Park entry at South Avenue entrance. Park opens at 5:00 PM

Please display entrance pass on dashboard. No parking on streets near Waveny Park. Walk-Ins - Entry through New Canaan High School with entrance pass.
