Hearken was formed in 2014 by two New York City area artists who have worked in overlapping circles for many years. They finally had the chance to play together and enjoyed it so much, they decided to formally join forces. Flute and harp blend together so beautifully that composers have explored that unique quality for hundreds of years, from Mozart’s Flute and Harp concerto to contemporary works of today. The word Hearken means to listen, and Lisa and Wendy hope you will enjoy hearing their joint spirit, connection and melding of sounds.
