New Canaan Library Renovation Money Approved
This advances plans for a large-scale renovation.
NEW CANAAN, CT—The Finance Board unanimously approved $475,000to help the library acquire a key property on its block.
A .19 acre property on South Avenue will likely be purchased, according to the New Canaanite. Another $1 million will come from library donors.
Currently only two-thirds of the library's 37,000 square foot building is usable and it has chronic infrastructure problems.
