New Canaan Man Is Accused of Sexually Assaulting 3-Year-Old at His Wife's Daycare Center

The suspect is being held on $250K bond for the incident that was reported last week.

A New Canaan man is scheduled to appear in court Friday on charges that he sexually assaulted a three-year-old girl at his wife’s daycare business earlier this month.

Bayron Castro, 48, of 96 Locust Ave., was arrested July 24 on charges of second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, according to The Stamford Times.

According to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website, Castro is being held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Friday.

The mother of the victim reported the incident to New Canaan Police on July 20, according to The Times that reports Castro is employed by Little Children’s Home Day Care that is owned his wife.
