New Canaan Nursing Home Among Best In County: Report
The website Medicare.gov posted the ratings on its Nursing Home Compare webpage.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Waveny Care Center, a nursing home in New Canaan, was recently rated among Fairfield County's best in Nursing Home Compare, a Medicare.gov comparison webpage.
The facility was one of two to receive perfect 5-star scores in each category, overall, health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
The other Fairfield County nursing home with perfect scores was Lourdes Health Care Center in Wilton.

A total of four Fairfield County nursing homes were rated among the county's worst, receiving scores of 1 star, out of a possible 5 stars, in overall ratings. They were Cassena Care at Norwalk; Fairview Healthcare Center of Fairfield in Southport; Regalcare at Greenwich and Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield.
A total of 15 Fairfield County nursing homes received 5 stars overall.
