New Canaan Outback Teen Center Found to be Safe After All
The latest twist in this building's unusual history.

NEW CANAAN, CT—A new inspection of the former Outback Teen Center building found that it is structurally sound and only minor cosmetic work is needed to make it usable.
Selectman Beth Jones said the original assessment by Danbury-based DiSalvo Engineering Group painted a picture of a building that was a danger to the public and was akin to yelling fire in a movie theater, according to the New Canaanite.
A subsequent formal investigation found that the building in fact has a steel skeleton that DiSalvo apparently overlooked.
