New Canaan Parents Open Up on Son's Heroin Overdose Death, Urge People to Get Help
Evan Reinhardt, 24, passed away in 2015 after a long battle with addiction.

New Canaan, CT- The parents of heroin overdose victim Evan Reinhardt, 24, have opened up about their son's struggle with the disease of addiction in hopes that it will help others find the help they need.
Reinhardt passed away July 15, 2015 in New Haven, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

He was first exposed to drugs and alcohol while at a boarding school and experimented with prescription mediation at the age of 16 after coming to New Canaan High School. Opioid use ramped up after he had wisdom teeth surgery.

He detoxed and relapsed several times before the fatal overdose.
