New Canaan Parks Department Announces New Field Notification System

NEW CANAAN, CT — The town's Parks and Recreation Department announced this week they will send email updates on field conditions, delayed openings and closures effective immediately.

According to a news release, this system will replace the former call-in system of recorded messages. Notices of field conditions, delayed openings and closures will also be posted in the green alert box at the top of the town's website.

Residents are asked to register at www.newcanaan.info to receive email and/or text updates for all fields, as well as the Mead Park tennis courts.

Click on www.newcanaan.info, then select the following:

• "Stay Notified"

• "E-Notify"

• Enter your email and select "Email" or "Text" under "Parks & Recreation Notifications"
