New Canaan PD Launches 2018 Citizen's Police Academy
The academy is a nine-session program that gives an overview on how the New Canaan Police Department operates.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department has begun accepting applications for its 2018 Civilian Police Academy, a nine-session program that gives attendees an overview on how the department operates and how it serves the community.
The academy will run every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from April 26 through June 21.
"Various instructors will cover a wide range of law enforcement topics," wrote organizers in a statement. "Attendees are encouraged to actively participate with the instructors."

The class size will be limited to 20 attendees, and applications must be submitted to the New Canaan Police Department no later than March 31.
