New Canaan PD Surveys Residents On Experiences With Crime

The survey is part of the department's certification under the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department has launched a survey for residents to discuss their experiences with crime in town.

The survey has 17 questions and is required for the department to maintain the accreditation standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

"Please take a couple of minutes to give us your feedback," New Canaan police said in a statement.

Among the questions asked by the survey are:

  • "What do you believe about the prevalence of crime in New Canaan?"
  • "In your opinion, how likely is it that you will be the victim of a violent crime (Assault, Robbery, Sexual Assault, ETC...) in New Canaan over the next 5 years?"
  • "In your opinion, compared to other communities, how safe is New Canaan overall?"
  • "Overall, How Satisfied are you with the New Canaan Police Department?"
