The training is designed to help officers make quick decisions.

New Canaan Police are undergoing live-fire scenario-based shooting training that will help them make split-second decisions during critical incidents.

A special trailer is being used with video scenarios to train and evaluate officers, according to the New Canaanite.

Chief Leon Krolikowski said that the department wants its officers to make the best decisions possible and to be able to save their own lives in scenarios.
