New Canaan Police To Host Upcoming Community Meetings

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department has scheduled more opportunities for residents to meet officers on an informal basis to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers serving New Canaan.

According to a news release provided by the town, the department will host a number of community meetings in April and May.

The following schedule was provided by the town:

Coffee with a Cop
  • April 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Greenology, 96 Main Street, New Canaan. Complimentary coffee.
Conversations with a Cop
  • April 11 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Lapham Community Center in Waveny Park. Topic: Getting to know the New Canaan Police Department.
  • May 9 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Lapham Community Center in Waveny Park. Topic: Police Academy Training.

The Lapham Community Center is open to all New Canaan residents age 21 and up, according to town officials.
