New Canaan Police Make DUI Arrests
One man allegedly had an open alcohol container in his vehicle, police said.

A Norwalk man was arrested for DWI after officers stopped him near the transfer station.
An officer parked on Lakeview Avenue near the entrance to the New Canaan Highway Department noticed a vehicle accelerating down the transfer station access roadway on Oct. 22 shortly before 7 p.m., police said.

The officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed three empty Bud Light cans and an open bottle in the vehicle. The operator, Dennis Hamilton, 45, of Norwalk allegedly failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test.
He was charged with DWI and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Car With Damage Leads to Arrest
A Norwalk woman was charged with DWI after she was found stopped off the roadway.
An officer on patrol on Oenoke Ridge Road saw a vehicle pulled off the road with its hazards on and some front end damage on Oct. 24 around1:45 a.m. police said.
The operator Virginia Bullen, 64, of Norwalk smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test, police said. She refused the breath test and was charged with DWI and failure to drive in established lane.
