New Canaan Police Officer Retires After Over 30 Years Of Service
Officer Geoffrey Lambert most recently served as the school resource officer at New Canaan High School.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Geoffrey Lambert retired July 1 after serving as an officer with the New Canaan Police Department for over 30 years.
In a Facebook post, police said Lambert began his career with the department in march 1989. Since then, he has held several positions within the department, including dispatcher, field training officer and certified car seat technician.
Lambert was also the co-coordinator of the department's annual Children's Hospital Christmas Tour, bringing smiles to dozens of sick kids' faces each holiday season in his role as Santa Claus.

Lambert devoted countless hours to this initiative, as well as the department's annual children's Christmas party, according to police.
Lambert most recently served as the school resource officer at New Canaan High School, where he built many great relationships with the students and staff.
