The developer of the 18-26 Locust Ave. new post office took more precautions after a citizen protested safety issues.
The town had already given demolition permits, but developer Ricahrd Carratu told the New Canaan Advertiser he was willing to spend extra money to take more precautions and keep the project moving forward.
Work is scheduled to continue in a day or two.

The United States Postal Service also announced a surety bond was officially posted for construction.
