NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan recently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for the town's fiscal year 2022 comprehensive financial report.
According to a news release provided by the town, the report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which include demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure," clearly communicating its financial story and motivating potential users and user groups to read the report.
