New Canaan Receives Votes in Latest State Field Hockey Coaches Poll

NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan High School placed just out of the top 10 in the latest weekly Connecticut field hockey coaches poll.

The Rams have won their past five outings, including a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over Greenwich Monday.

The top 10 rankings and records through Tuesday, Oct. 18:

2. Staples (11-0-2)
3. Darien (11-1-2)
4. Wilton (10-1-2-1)
5. Enfield (9-1)
6. Norwalk (11-2-0-1)
7. Cheshire (10-0-2-1)
8. Branford (11-1)
9. Joel Barlow (11-1)
10. Nonnewaug (11-0-1)

Also receiving votes: Westbrook (12-1), Granby Memorial (10-2), New Canaan (9-3-1).
