New Canaan Residents Oppose Roger Sherman Inn Redevelopment Plan

Some residents say the plan is too dense for the area.

NEW CANAAN, CT—A group of residents has come forward to oppose a redevelopment plan for the Roger Sherman Inn.

Opponents say the plan to put seven single-family homes on 1.8 acres is too dense, according to the New Canaanite.

Plans call for at least part of the historic structure to be razed. Some of the structure dates back to 1740.The original proposal called for eight units on the property, but it was scaled back to seven.
