New Canaan Schools Announce New Director of Finance

The New Canaan Public Schools announced Dr. Jo-Ann Keating as the next Director of Finance and Operations.

According to the schools website, Dr. Keating will replace Nancy Harris, who has served the school since July 2013 and is retiring from her position. Dr. Keating will assume her new role on July 1.

Dr. Keating has previously served in financial positions in Weston, Wolcott, Ridgefield and Naugatuck.

Dr. Keating was awarded an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, an M.S. in Organizational Management from Central Connecticut University, and a B.S. in Accounting from Post College. She holds professional certification as a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO) in North America, Intermediate Administration and Supervision (Certificate #092), and School Business Administrator (Certificate #085) in Connecticut.

“The Search Committee found Dr. Keating’s integrity, financial and budget skills, collaborative management style, and extensive experience in school performance and operations to be particularly well suited to the Director of Finance and Operations position for the New Canaan Public Schools,” the New Cannan Public Schools wrote on their website.
