New Canaan Schools Make Decision On Tuesday Schedule
Overnight snow hit Connecticut Monday night and Tuesday.
NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Public Schools, and two of the private schools in town, will open on a delayed schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 3, due to the inclement weather that swept through Connecticut overnight, officials announced.
"The New Canaan Public Schools are on a Two Hour Delay schedule today, Tuesday, 12/3/19," district officials said. "NCHS & 7/8 - 9:30 a.m.; South - 10:15 a.m.; Saxe 5/6 - 10:20 a.m.; East & West - 11:05 a.m.
"Grades K-5 will have a regular afternoon dismissal, and conferences will be moved and rescheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The sun is expected to arrive once the lingering snow stops around 7 a.m. Please drive safely."

Both New Canaan Country School and St. Luke's School also are on a delayed opening Tuesday.
"School will open following a 2-Hour Delay, today, Dec. 3, 2019. Early Birds will open at 9 a.m.," Country School officials said.

"There will be no before school meetings with teachers on 12/3," St. Luke's officials said. "It will be a Week 1, regular Tuesday schedule. Any updates will come by phone. Please travel safely."
