NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Board of Selectmen is scheduled to hold a final review and discussion of the town's proposed budgets for fiscal year 2027 when it meets Tuesday morning.

The regular meeting is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Town Hall meeting room due to a delayed opening of Town Hall following Sunday's major snowstorm.

The meeting will be hybrid, allowing for both in-person attendance and remote participation, according to a meeting agenda available on the town website.

According to the agenda, the board is expected to conduct a final budget review and discussion for fiscal year 2027, including fee memos and general government items. The agenda does not specify if a vote will take place.

The board is also scheduled to consider several possible contract approvals involving town operations and infrastructure.

These include a request from the Information Technology Department for approval to enter into a contract with Presidio, totaling $11,617.24, for the purchase of Virtual Desktop Access licenses that would be co-termed to renew with all other Microsoft licenses, according to the agenda.

Another agenda item involves a request from the Department of Public Works to approve an agreement with Darien Electrical LLC. to provide electrical repair and upgrade services through June 2027.

The board is also scheduled to review a request from the town's tree warden to approve a $13,640 contract with Almstead Tree and Shrub Care for the "removal, pruning and stump removal of various trees in town," according to the agenda.

The agenda includes a public comment period, during which residents may address the board on agenda items.
