New Canaan to Sign Lease Creating More Parking for Town Employees

In an effort to create more parking, New Canaan will sign a lease with the Red Cross and re-designate about 20 spaces in the Park Street Lot currently being used by construction workers, the New Canaanite reports.

According to the publication, about 15 spaces for town employees will be created behind Red Cross’ Main Street building.

By the time Town Hall renovation is complete and the building is reoccupied, spaces for visitors will double and employees will be able to park between the Town Hall lot and the Red Cross building.

The Parking Bureau will enforce the parking rules, the publication reports.
