New Canaan Spring Wine Event To Benefit Local Non-Profit

Sunset Wine Party is hosting a festive, upscale wine tasting evening at the Country Club of New Canaan to benefit Filling in the Blanks.

NEW CANAAN, CT — This spring, New Canaan and other area residents can sip, explore, shop and socialize at an exclusive, local event to help support Connecticut children facing hunger.

On May 7, Sunset Wine Party will host a festive, upscale wine tasting evening at the Country Club of New Canaan. All net proceeds benefit Filling in the Blanks, a local non-profit which supports area children experiencing hunger by providing them with meals on the weekends, according to a news release.

The spring event offers ticketed guests an opportunity to learn about and taste an amazing selection of over 30 wines in the BMW of Darien Grand Wine Tasting Room, all curated by DB Fine Wines.

Additionally, a wines by the glass bar will offer full glasses of red, white or rosé. Knowledgeable wine experts will be on hand to tell the stories and subtleties behind each bottle of the various wine selections poured throughout the night.

Guests may also indulge in decadent, gourmet bites and enjoy great DJ music. Full bottles will be available to order through the Sommlike web app and delivered straight home by DB Fine Wines.

"Both wine connoisseurs and novices alike will enjoy this chic and artistic wine experience while supporting an important local non-profit which champions children battling hunger," Sunset Wine Party Founder Paula Alonso said in a news release.

Exclusive limited tickets to the inaugural New Canaan event will be available starting Feb. 27. General Admission is $70 per ticket ($85 at the door).

All access passes allow guests to arrive an hour early at 5 p.m. to explore all wines before the crowd comes in, as well as an exclusive check-in line. All access admission tickets are $95 per person ($110 at the door).
