New Canaan Town Council to Decide Whether There Will be Referendum
The council will decide whether voters will have an option to change the makeup of the Board of Finance.
New Canaan, CT- The Town Council will decide whether voters will decide whether thefirst selectman position should also serve as chairman of the Board of Finance.
The body is scheduled to meet July 20.
The Charter Revision Commission made the recommendation to have the Board of Finance elect its own chairman from regular members, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
