New Canaan Town Council To Vote On FY27 Budget During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Town Council is scheduled to vote on the proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget at its meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

According to an agenda available on the town website, the council will meet in a hybrid format at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room.

Public comment is listed on the agenda and will be limited to remarks on items scheduled for review or vote.

The biggest item on the agenda is a reading of and vote on the proposed town budget, sewer fund and other funds for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Ahead of that vote, the council is expected to continue its discussion and review of the proposed FY27 budget, according to the agenda.

In addition to the budget, the council is scheduled to consider a request from the Housing Authority for $560,000 from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, which would support capital improvement projects at the Millport properties, according to the agenda.

Other items on the agenda include approval of minutes for previous regular meetings held on March 31 and April 2.
