A new proposal has surfaced that would keep the center alive.

A new proposal has been created to help keep the Outback teen center open.

Town Council member Bill Walbert and First Selectman Rob Mallozzi have proposed that the current board of directors vote in new members and then resign in order to create a transition team, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The new board would negotiate with other local organizations that serve youth about using the Outback building.
