New Canaan Wins, Earns Berth in Football Championship Game

NEW CANAAN, CT — Seeking its fourth straight state championship, New Canaan held off Notre Dame-West Haven, 20-17 in a Class L football semifinal matchup Monday night.

Graham Baden rushed for 169 yards, while quarterback Drew Pyne connected on 22 of 31 passes for 182 yards.

Second-seeded New Canaan (11-1) will face No. 1 Windsor (12-0) Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Willow Brook Park in New Britain.
