New Canaan Woman Charged In Child Abuse Case: Police
A New Canaan woman was arrested on charges connected to a child abuse investigation, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A New Canaan woman was arrested Thursday on charges connected to a child abuse investigation, according to police.
In a news release, police said the department was notified in May by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families about a report of suspected child abuse of a 4-month old infant they received from Norwalk Hospital.
A joint investigation between New Canaan Police and DCF identified Lisa Piccerillo, 62, of New Canaan, as a suspect in the case. The infant was known to the accused, police said.

Piccerillo was arrested Thursday on a warrant. She was charged with risk of injury to a child and held on a $50,000 bond.
