New Canaan Woman Sues Acme Market After Slip and Fall
The woman dislocated her shoulder and sustained other injuries during the fall, according to the lawsuit.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A local woman has sued Acme Markets after she fell in the store during August 2016, according to a lawsuit.
Plaintiff Jessica Gerges claimed in the lawsuit that she was entering the Elm Street store when she slipped due to water or another clear liquid near the floor entryway.
Gerges suffered a dislocated left shoulder, right hip sprain and adhesive capsulitis of the left shoulder, according to the lawsuit. She also suffers from anxiety, sleeplessness and mental shock from the incident.

The lawsuit seeks more than $15,000 in monetary damages.
The suit was filed in early January in state Superior Court.
