New Canaan Youth Basketball Grabs Win Over Norwalk Youth Team

The boys started the season winning the first six games and took a championship at the seventh annual Milford Knights Tournament.

Led by the scoring of Griffin Bramwit, the New Canaan Boys 5 Black Basketball Team defeated the Norwalk Youth Team by the score of 61 - 17 last Sunday. Bramwit scored 17 points, including two three-pointers.

Jack Jensen scored 10 points in the win, including one three-pointer. Christofer Ippolito also had 10 points while Teddy Whittaker tossed in eight points. Felipe Galavis had six points Cooper Smith dropped in five points, while Fletcher Heron tallied four points.

The game was never in doubt with New Canaan quickly jumping out to a 25 - 5 point lead at the end of the first quarter. The New Canaan offense started off blisteringly hot with 13 of Bramwit's 17 points coming in the first period. The Norwalk offense was continuously stymied by a stingy New Canaan defense led by the aggressive rebounding of Ben Michels and Will Langford.

The boys started the season by winning six straight games and garnering the championship at The Seventh Annual Milford Knights Pre-season Tip-Off Basketball Tournament on November 20, 2016. Since beginning the regular season on December 3, the team has gone 9 - 1. Their only loss came to the Norwalk TMT team on December 9.
