New Canaan's Waveny LifeCare Hosts 'The Hammersteins: A Musical Theatre Family' This Month

NEW CANAAN, CT - From Waveny LifeCare Network: On Thursday, September 28, Waveny LifeCare Network invites the public to join Oscar Hammerstein III – grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame, and author of "The Hammersteins" – for a special evening in celebration of the history and happenings that paved the foundation of American musical theatre.

Complete with family stories, professional highlights, scandals and tragedies, Mr. Hammerstein will recount a multi-layered portrait of the Hammerstein legacy, told in his own words.

This free community event, which is open to the public, will be held on “Main Street” at The Village at
Waveny. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and a light supper will be offered until a prompt 5:30 p.m. program start.
