New CFO Appointed In New Canaan

Anne Kelly-Lenz, a former chief financial officer of the town of Wilton, has been appointed as New Canaan's CFO.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Anne Kelly-Lenz, a former chief financial officer of the town of Wilton with nearly twenty years of municipal finance experience, has been appointed as New Canaan's CFO.

In addition to Wilton's CFO, Kelly-Lenz has served as CFO of the Wilton Board of Education, treasurer of the town of Stratford and as finance director, tax collector and treasurer of the city of Bridgeport. She also has experience in the private sector in accounting and payroll and benefits.

In a news release announcing her appointment, First Selectman Kevin Moynihan said the town was delighted to have Kelly-Lenz join New Canaan and lead its finance department.

"Anne's experience in Wilton, Bridgeport and Stratford in the municipal finance sector and her recent experience as CFO of the BOE in Wilton makes her a very good fit for New Canaan at this time," Moynihan said in a news release.

A native of Dublin, Ireland, Kelly-Lenz earned a master's degree from Sacred Heart University and is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Connecticut.
