New Director of Treasury Mangement at Bankwell

James B. Rusiecki, Jr. has been named Senior Vice President, Director of Treasury Management at Bankwell, it was announced by Bankwell EVP, Chief Community Banking Officer David Dineen. In his new role, he will lead and oversee Bankwell’s Treasury Management area.

Jim resides in Marion with his wife and three children. He is a Board member of the Southington South Youth Athletic Association and Coaches at the Connecticut Edge Baseball Academy in Meriden.

Jim began his banking career in 1994 as a part time teller for Eagle Federal Savings in Danbury. Since then he has worked in multiple areas of retail and commercial banking.

Prior to Bankwell, Jim was Senior Vice President, Director of Payment Services at Union Savings Bank and was responsible for developing new strategies, operating models and capabilities in the payment landscape as the Bank strives to improve its competitiveness and remain relevant to consumers and corporate customers. Prior to his role in Payment Services, Jim was the Senior Vice President, Corporate and Government Treasury Services at USB. In this position he was responsible for business development, marketing, product management and delivery of the Bank’s corporate, cash management, and electronic banking services.

In 2012, Jim was named a “New Leader in Banking” by the Connecticut Bankers Association.

He graduated from Charter Oak State College with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Business Management and Psychology and the American Bankers Association’s National Graduate School of Banking. Jim holds the Certified Treasury Professional certification from the Association for Financial Professionals and is a member of the New England Automated Clearing House (NEACH) rules committee.
