New Retail Projects in Norwalk and Darien Welcomed by New Canaan Businesses

NEW CANAAN, CT — Two new retail development projects in Norwalk and Darien could impact New Canaan businesses, but local merchants reportedly are praising the plans.
NewCanaanite.com writes that both projects, The SoNo Collection in Norwalk and the Corbin/Post Road development in Darien, demonstrate how the two communities are "stepping up" their respective retail efforts.
In fact, local business leaders see the new projects as potentially drawing customers to New Canaan's shopping district, one that offers a more a less overwhelming shopping experience than a mall.

A Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom are slated to anchor the South Norwalk project, and a mix of shops, apartments and office space are planned for the Darien effort.
